I was doing the dishes and looking out the window at the beautiful trees and sky. I could feel the crisp winter air coming through the single paned glass and it felt good having my hands in the warm soapy bubbles scrubbing off this morning’s breakfast from the pots and pans. I am happy to have moments where I feel alone and content doing the tasks that often seem so repetitive and mundane. I like the sound of the chimes out my living room window. It alerts me to what is happening outside when I am indoors. Stopping and feeling the nature of one’s surroundings is a beautiful and artful way of living. We create space that mimics ourselves. How we make our time go by and how we handle the “uneventful” really reveals mental patterns that can be positive or negative. It is all in the vantage point as Mike would say. So when you are sick of washing dishes JUST DON’T -----do something else that would make you feel more fulfilled and less agitated until you have shifted your state to a place where warm water and a little grime is more of a tactile experience and less of a labor.
The art of living is being in the moment of what you are doing whether it is washing dishes, doing laundry, mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, calculating bills, pushing your kid on a swing, nursing your baby, talking on the phone, sipping a cup of tea, smelling a flower, driving, cooking, playing music, gardening.
I enjoyed reading your daily thought. Puts things into perspective. We can change our thoughts by what we do. Do what you love and everything else will fall into place. I use your product daily and it will always reminds me of the power of Moss Botanicals. Thank you!!
